Great news for Matt and me!!! He’s been trying for over a year to get into the Army-Baylor Physical Therapy program…..he has a bachelors’ in exercise science already, and has worked as a personal trainer and now is a Physical Therapist Tech, but wants to become a Physical Therapist. Baylor is hard to get into….they only take 24 people a year.
We found out just yesterday that Matt got into the Army-Baylor Physical Therapy Program! He will earn his doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) and be ranked as an officer in the Army. Schooling is paid for and they receive a salary of over $40000 plus housing allowance and other benefits. He was ranked #5. He does boot camp in September and then the program will be two and a half years long. He'll graduate in 2014. We'll be stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio for that time. I am hoping to find a job in the area soon! We'll move in August. I am very sad to think about leaving my school but I know this is what we're supposed to do...and I couldn't be prouder of my husband!

The insurance company is giving us almost two grand to keep it! It still runs great...and Matt went to the junk yard and got a new bumper and trunk (half off- labor day sale) and it looks pretty dang good! It's a dark green color but doesn't look too bad with the black. But considering we (well, Matt) fixed up the car for pennies, we're pretty proud.
